The Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in The Lovely Baden Baden Germany

Time to Plan a trip to Germany

Can you do a European vacation in just 4 days?  It is possible.  We found ourselves being able to take a short European vacation in the fall and thought this was a perfect time to go to Germany!  With only having a short amount of time, it was important to find a location that we could visit areas easily from a home base. Checking into flights we found Frankfurt was available to fit into our schedule. Colmar, France was always a city I wanted to check out too, so we planned our travels to incorporate Colmar which is approximately 3 hours south of Frankfurt. Next up was to pull out the map and find a home base. An easy and relaxing drive was important too, who wants to stress on a holiday right? I was pleasantly surprised on what the map showed. One and half hours south of Frankfurt was Badan Baden! Enter Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in The Lovely Baden Baden Germany.

Baden Baden fit perfectly for this short vacation. Not to mention the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Germany was a bucket list luxury hotel. This just so happens to be the area of where the ancestors of my Mothers side are from. This trip was really looking to mean more to me then I imagined.

If you follow my blog, you realize we incorporate hotels into our experience when we travel. We enjoy as part of our holidays a luxury hotel, it’s what we prefer. Choosing a hotel in Baden Baden was not difficult. Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa was our number one choice.

We Arrive at Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden Baden

The day finally arrived for our arrival. The Frankfurt airport was very easy to navigate as well as the directions to Baden Baden.  Baden Baden (read more) is so lovely I will be needing to write a separate blog with its Black Forest and surrounding areas. The Brenner’s Park-Hotel & Spa soon came into view. Valet was very accommodating and helpful. We arrived in the morning so our room was not ready yet but that was perfectly fine, we went to explore a little and have lunch.

Did I mention that Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa is located right in a park? Parks are one of the number one things Kevin and I love about traveling to Europe. We love to just stroll through the serene settings. It is our first time to actually be staying in a park and it does not disappoint! I could just sit on our balcony and just take in the gorgeous fall colors! Orange, red, yellow and green was everywhere. Living in Florida we do not get to see this unless we head north, but I will take fall in the Black Forest any day of the week!

Here are just a few of the magnificent views of the park and the hotel.

Upon returning we were escorted by the Manager around the hotel and to our room. The hotel staff was so kind! They upgraded our room to a suite with an amazing view! But first let’s take a look at some of the hotel:

Suite with a View

Our room was was very spacious and spotlessly clean. A nice gift tray of macaroons, fruits and cheeses were there to greet us. My photographs of the room are better then what I can write myself. Just lovely, we could not be more pleased.  The Manager was very helpful with informing us of details about the room and hotel.  He also apologized in advance if we heard loud music that night for there was going to be a large birthday party celebration in the banquet room.  We explained I was also an event planner so that would not be a problem.  However, we were very impressed on the sound proof rooms.  At times we did hear music but it was so minor it was not a issue at all.

The Most Important Meal of the Day!

The Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa includes a very satisfying and delicious breakfast every morning for their guests in the Salon Lichtental.  Between the buffet and the menu I do not believe there is an item I can think of that is not available.  There is a chef present at all times to make eggs anyway you choose.  The service is impeccable, the room is bright and cheery with views of course of the park.  You really could spend a lot of time here in this room as you can see in the photographs.

 Spa Time

For you who know me… this is a must.  Did you really think I wouldn’t fit this in?  How could we not go to a spa that is 5 levels?  We only had time for a couples massage and facials, but they were heavenly!  The massage I had was one of the best I ever had, my right shoulder had been bothering me terribly with knots and she got them all out.  One week later and I still feLT great! The facial was one of those that it was so smoothing and relaxing you could fall asleep, which Kevin did.

Here is the Spa!  Gorgeous!!! If you love spas like I do, here are some other ones that are amazing too!

Lunch in the Wintergarten

The Wintergarten Restaurant is a perfect setting you would expect for a hotel located in a park.  It’s architectural frame is an atrium.  Views with all the fall colors make’s lunch a whole new experience.  Kevin even chose to sit beside me so he could be facing the views too! The menu is very versatile, which I was happy since I do not eat meat or poultry. Their fish dish was delicious.  But I believe Kevin would like to write a little something in food and wine section of this blog, so I won’t spoil it for him!

Night time Drink and Snack

After a long day of traveling to surrounding areas, we made a much needed stop into their Kaminhalle Room and Oleander Bar.  A very cozy room equipped with comfortable chairs and couches, fireplace, bar and piano.  During the day you can book a High Tea in this lovely room too.  But tonight I was in the mood for a hot chocolate and Kevin wanted some good old Kentucky bourbon.  I don’t know what it is they do different in Europe with their hot chocolate but it is always so rich and chocolatey!  We enjoyed our time here just sitting back and listening to the wonderful music by their pianist.

Time to go Back to Reality

It is no secret by reading this blog that I give Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa 5 stars! We throughly enjoyed our stay here.  There was not one thing to complain about, not one thing we did not enjoy.  My only regret is that we did not have more time here so that we could experience more dining in the other restaurants located in the hotel and more time in their Spa.

As they say in German:

Jetzt habe ich einen guten Grund zurückzukehren!

P.S. Please check in for my next blog, coming soon.  The next blogs will feature Baden Baden and some surrounding areas.  You will see how much this area has to offer and how conveniently located Baden Baden is to some of the popular tourist cities: Heidleburg, Colmar, Stausberg, Stuggart, Rastatt and more
