The Valentines Week continues with us taking on the Chunnel Train from London to Paris! Valentines Day in Paris while staying at the Hôtel Ritz Paris. Right about now I get a really big smile on my face just thinking about our time spent in Paris. Shopping, Jardin des Tuileries, Musée d’Orsay, Sainte-Chapelle.. Our Valentines Week: Paris and The Hôtel Ritz Paris, the memories will last forever.
Paris has so much to see and do that it’s pretty hard to pick and choose what to see in 3 days. But this one is about Valentines Week so here are some of my favorite things to do in Paris for Valentines Week that can be a little touristy but romantic too:

The Hôtel Ritz Paris
If you can stay at this hotel while in Paris I would as I plan on again some day. The Hôtel Ritz Paris in France is Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Gorgeous! Everything you could want is offered here including their own little designer shopping mall. The rooms are just beautiful, clean, very French which I love! The bathrooms are detailed with gold Swans for all finishes. You really feel special and luxurious at the Hôtel Ritz Paris. Romance is in the air here with the courtyard all lit up with white lights. The hotel sent our room Champagne and a chocolate Ritz Teddy Bear dusted in gold. Of course, I brought it home and it is in our wine cellar, where it will always be displayed.
If your budget doesn’t fit The Ritz, here are some of the best hostels in Paris. But…. at least schedule sometime to sit and have a drink and/or meal at the Ritz. Hotel hopping is one of my favorite things to do in cities, I will write about this fun activity one day.
Sainte Chapelle
I still find this hard to believe but we have been to Paris several times and we skipped this each trip! Finally, we arrive perfect timing in line to enter this gothic chapel of stain glass. Having the largest collection of 13th century stained glass in the entire world, you soon see what this actually means as soon as you walk in. You actually can hear an “awe” in every language it is that impressive. The colors radiating throughout are just magnificent. How is this romantic? When you are standing there with your special someone seeing this, well its just such a special moment to share such a magnitude of history and beauty.
Jardin des Tuileries
Even in the winter walking through this park is full of romance. Take your time and stroll around the ponds, take a ride on the carousel. Of course you need to rest in-between so enjoy a glass of wine at La Terrasse de Pomone. Admire the Maillol ,Rodin and Giacometti statues that are displayed throughout the park. The most important point is take your time and take a moment to look around and say “I’m in Paris!”
Romantic Meals
You are in the city of love so it’s pretty easy to have a romantic meal in Paris. I have yet to be in a restaurant in Paris that was not unique in it’s own way. Just being in Paris makes it romantic, so order some wine and enjoy a meal. Paris is known for food to be an art and they prove it throughout the city. Splurge at least on Valentines Day dinner with a great view and a chef that will make sure your night is special. Antoine has a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower as you dine. Or even yet you can dine in the Eiffel Tower!
Window Shop or better yet Shop!
Strolling in Paris along the busy streets peaking into windows is a must do! Some of the most creative and unique window displays are found in Paris. And do not feel awkward about just looking many people do and it’s fun (read more) ! It does not all have to be about clothes, shoes and jewelry (although that’s my favorite). The windows of the local chocolatier and/or a pâtisserie are to tempting to pass up. Enter to sample some of the best the world has to offer! Buy something for each other to remember this oh so special Valentines week and Valentines Day. Walk arm in arm as you enjoy your day together.
Moulin Rouge…Oooh la la
Would Paris be Paris without a little Moulin Rouge? I don’t think so! This is one tour you need to book in advance because it will sell out quickly, believe me it has happened to me twice now. But I am happy to say- this next visit it is on the list of must do’s!!!!
Visit some Museums and Other Attractions
Yes, even going to museums can be romantic! The art in Paris is so overwhelming that it will turn anyone into an appreciator of art. There is a feeling you get when you see a piece of art with your own eyes that you studied in school, that is indescribable. For a romantic museum afternoon head over to the Musée d’Orsay to see Impressionism at it’s fullest.
A visit to Versailles with a skip the line and tour is a must do when in Paris!
Of course, these are only a few of the things to do in Paris for Valentines Week and actual Valentines Day. It is the City of Love after all.
