Is Flying first class worth it

What’s Up Next You Ask?

There is something exciting about having future journeys on the horizon. The planning, the dreaming, the late-night searches for hidden cafés, beautiful hotels, scenic train rides, and unforgettable experiences all become part of the adventure long before the suitcase is packed.

But before looking ahead, we are still reflecting on the incredible journey we recently returned from through Egypt, Kenya, and United Arab Emirates. From ancient wonders and breathtaking safaris to the modern luxury and energy of Dubai, this trip left us with experiences and memories that are difficult to put into words. There are so many stories still to share, moments that amazed us, challenged us, inspired us, and reminded us once again why we love to travel. Stay tuned because detailed posts, photographs, travel tips, and personal reflections from those adventures will soon be making their way onto the blog.

As incredible as that journey was, the excitement of what lies ahead is already beginning to build.

Next up for us is a trip to Rochester, which holds a very special place in my heart because so much of my family is there. While some trips are about seeing new places, others are about reconnecting with the people who matter most, family and friends. There is something comforting and grounding about returning to familiar faces, family stories, shared meals, and traditions that remind you where you came from. These kinds of trips may not always seem glamorous from the outside, but they are often the ones that leave the deepest impact.

After that comes one of the adventures I have been eagerly anticipating for quite some time: our journey aboard The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection through Indonesia. This experience promises to combine luxury with cultural discovery in an intimate, immersive way. Indonesia has always fascinated me with its incredible diversity of islands, traditions, landscapes, and people. Exploring this region by sea feels like the perfect way to experience places that are both breathtaking and deeply rooted in culture.

Before and after the cruise, we will also spend time in Phuket and Bali. While many people immediately picture beaches and resorts, what excites me most is experiencing the spirit of these destinations beyond the tourist postcards; the temples, local traditions, markets, food, scenery, and everyday life that truly define a place. I have always believed the best travel experiences happen when you slow down enough to absorb the culture around you.

Then next spring comes something completely different and equally meaningful: A Girls Trip to Asheville with my high school friends. There is something incredibly special about friendships that continue through every stage of life. No matter how many years pass, those connections somehow bring you right back to laughter, memories, and comfort. Asheville feels like the perfect destination for us, beautiful mountain scenery, charming streets, local restaurants, art, music, and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy time together without rushing. Sometimes the best trips are less about sightseeing and more about the people you share them with.

And then comes another journey I am especially excited about: traveling with our daughter and her boyfriend to Amsterdam and Italy. One of the greatest joys of travel is sharing it with the people you love, especially watching someone experience places through fresh eyes. Amsterdam has long been on our list with its canals, history, walkable neighborhoods, and relaxed atmosphere that invites wandering without an agenda.

From there we will head once again to our home in Italy, which has truly become part of our lives over the years. We are fortunate enough to have a home on Lago d’Iseo that we visit several times each year, and every return feels less like arriving at a destination and more like coming home. While many travelers know the larger Italian lakes, Lago d’Iseo has managed to maintain a quieter authenticity that we deeply cherish. The beauty there is found in the simple moments: morning espresso overlooking the lake, local markets, lakeside dinners, scenic drives through small villages, and the slower pace that reminds you to truly savor life.

What I love most about all these upcoming travels is how different each experience will be. Family and friend time in Rochester. Exotic discovery through Indonesia. Relaxation and friendship in Asheville. Shared adventures with loved ones in Amsterdam and Italy.

Travel is not always about going farther. Sometimes it is about reconnecting, with family, lifelong friends, culture, or even yourself.

As always, thank you for following along on these adventures with us. I cannot wait to share the stories, photographs, unforgettable moments, and lessons each destination brings. The next chapter is just beginning.
